This major project featured over 450 square meters of illuminated opal polycabonate wall cladding.
These were hung to the lobby and internal lift housing areas in the attrium at the Royal Collegue of General Practitioners London Head Quarters.
A tranditional hook on rail system was used. This is more commonly seen on invisible fix metal cladding installations. The benefits on this job was the tollerance this allowed to the changing site conditions.
Some of the customisation included packing out one of the main walls by 80mm and the induvidual dimming and balancing of the light out put of the differently sized panels. This was conducted through DMX control.
The sheets of polycaronate used were us to an impressive 3m x 2m.
Our opal polycarbonate is special order providing clean, diffused light with a light transsmisison of over 70%. In addition to this the panels are bullet proof, shatter proof and antti UV.
For maintenance the opal polycarbonate is able to un hook from the wall. This allows easy cleaning and LED replacement.
The illumination is from our Ultra LED Light Panels. These were specified as having a 3,800k colour temperature.
